Celebrating Those Raising the Standard
Some of the most important work in our industry happens quietly: the introduction, the encouragement, the decision to champion someone's potential. We were proud to recognise people whose contributions are already raising the standard.

Congratulations to every recipient. Thank you for opening doors and leading the way.

Damion Thompson - Nationwide
This award recognises a person who demonstrates exceptional leadership and impact. A Black professional who leads with integrity and purpose, achieves excellence in their field and uses their leadership and influence to create a positive impact for others.

Oli O'Donoghue - HSBC UK
This award celebrates a trailblazer.
A Black professional who opens doors, redefines expectations, and forges new pathways. Someone whose courage and innovation break barriers, making it easier for others to see what’s possible and follow the path they’ve illuminated.

Rebecca Wilkins - Cutting Edge Mortgages & Richard Goppy - PMS
Recognises two individuals who actively open doors and clear obstacles for others. They champion Black professionals by advocating for them, sponsoring their growth, mentoring, making key introductions and ensuring they have access to the rooms, conversations, and opportunities that can transform careers.

Shane Chawatama - Knowledge Bank
This award celebrates someone who builds strong partnerships and thrives in collaboration. A person who understands that progress is most powerful when it is collective — generously sharing knowledge, fostering connections, and bringing people and organisations together to create greater impact.
Highly Commended Recognition:
Dom Scott - lifetime Connect for all his efforts in bringing people together.

Hazvi Chimbetete - John Charcol
This award recognises someone who consistently invests their time, knowledge, support and resources to strengthen the Black professional community, making a meaningful difference to the people around them. A champion for the next generation and for under‑privileged communities.
